Hello! Hopefully you've landed here to learn more about our Wichita flag survey project. If you're just browsing the website, you can learn more about a survey we're conducting below.
Thank you for choosing to learn more about our survey and research. The survey focuses on the Wichita flag and how it impacts the Wichita community. The survey you’re considering is part of a graduate student research project for an MBA course at Wichita State University, and it will help us learn more about the Wichita flag and the city of Wichita.
If you’re reading this, you self-selected to learn more about and/ or take this survey. Your participation, of course, is voluntary. If you don’t want to continue, you can exit at any time. We hope we get at least 300 respondents; however, the more we have, the better our accuracy.
This is very important: No information collected in this survey will be disclosed. We are not collecting any personally identifiable data. We’re not following cookies. Any data we collect cannot and will not be traced back to you. We will not distribute our results to others for them to use.
We will, however, analyze the data we collect. From this information we will write a report which we will present to our class and our professor. Additionally, we are scheduled to present our findings to the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce. We reached out to them to talk about our project, and they helped guide us. They also pretested our survey to ensure our questions were easily readable and understandable.
The survey is part of a comprehensive project for Management 803: Decision-Making Analysis. The class teaches the study of business decision-making and problem-solving methodologies.
We each completed and passed a training program about ethical research and primary data collection techniques. Additionally, we worked with university faculty to submit our project to WSU's Institutional Review Board (IRB). An IRB is “a committee within a university or other organization receiving federal funds to conduct research that reviews research proposals.” Learn more about IRBs here. Wichita State University’s IRB approved our proposal. We continue to work under the guidance of trained faculty.
Your completion of this survey will be taken as evidence of your willingness to participate and your consent to have the information used for the purpose of this study. Please feel free to print and keep this cover letter as an explanation of the handling of the nature of the study.
Four MBA students worked on this survey. Three of us are engineers while the other works in marketing. Two of us have masters degrees in other subjects in addition to our work in WSU’s MBA program.
We timed the survey. It takes approximately two minutes to compete. We, and our grades, thank you.
